Myriad variables subsumed under the rubric. I donв t know what that means either. But itв s something the boojie bleed would say, even in the most casual of conversations. Looks like rain, huh Myriad variables subsumed.... And so on. This behavior really can really be seen with the educated boojie bleed. Oh, bleed evolved from blood, which came from black. Itв s a sixties thing. A jovial running mate from that time-a guy we called Float before that changed to Floatinв Daddy-created bleed (or, to stay with my running theme here, coined the moniker). Black people, chastised Nikki Giovanni at the end of a famous poem, ainв t we got no shame Yes, the boojie bleed can be pretentious. Hell, as my example shows through a bit of hyperbole, he can be comically self-consciousness in his never-ending fight against the majority societyв s stereotypes. But I like the boojie bleed. He, or she, has got a lot of shame, or pride. They show us that we should too. Displaying dignity is a crucial part of any struggle. Itв s what kept black people sane-or as sane as a people could be then-during the rougher days of American apartheid. So you go to inferior schools. Still learn more than what they know. They canв t take that away from you, and you will be able to use it to help your people later. Itв s what keeps them sane now. Sure thereв s an extra viciousness in their attacks on Obama, but you know who those people really are, no matter their new power and money, donв t you The second word rhymes with mash. Youв re better than that. (This is not to be confused with the boojie bleeds who publicly attack their own people to show theyв re not one of them. Thatв s a story of Clarence Thomas, Rush Limbaughв s screen caller Mr. Snerdley and that crazy black lady from Mississippi who keeps popping up on Fox. Thereв s another name for them.) I thought of all this when I saw television footage of Republicans grilling Attorney General Eric Holder-someone from boojie bleed casting if there ever was one-about his role in his agencyв s Fast and Furious operation. They want him fired since one of the guns his agents were supposed to be tracking could have been used to kill a border agent. Well, they want the guy fired also probably because theyв ve already got their hands full with a yet even more uppity one passing a health care initiative and regulating banks and stuff. Holderв s body language showed abject disgust. He harped on respect. You owe this office some respect, sir, Holder scolded a couple of them. You may not like me, but you will respect this office. Wow. Can you imagine the new strides of blacks in corporate America and academia the following day Spare me the condescending lectures. If Iв m not doing my job, and you know I am.... Theyв re relentless in being treated for what they are-human, even risking being annoying or comical or too sensitive, even when most for whom they fight may feel that every slight is not worth the struggle.
